Yesterday, July 2, we experienced a wonderful day at the ThinkUPC headquarters, the LEIA UPC building, with the hosting of the session “AI, cybersecurity, and trust: how to protect your organization in the new digital scenario”. The event was highly received by the tech community, filling the reserved room with CIOs, CISOs, and technology management professionals from organizations across various sectors.

This AI and cybersecurity event was created with the aim of analyzing the paradigm shift brought about by the emergence of artificial intelligence, which is redefining defense strategies within organizations. During the session, we shared practical governance and information security insights, analyzing the real impact of technology from three critical perspectives:

• “Against” AI: how attackers use it to make threats faster, more precise, and harder to detect.

• “With” AI: how to integrate it into our own defenses to predict, detect, and neutralize incidents.

• “For” AI: the need to protect the organization’s own models and data, which have become the new critical business asset.

Following the educational session, a highly enriching open debate took place where attendees were able to exchange questions, experiences, and real use cases. The day continued with a networking breakfast, providing a relaxed opportunity to strengthen connections among different teams and companies in the sector.

As an exclusive closing, the event concluded with a guided tour of the MareNostrum 5 supercomputer facilities at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC)—a perfect end to a morning filled with knowledge and benchmark technology.
