The Spanish Creu Roja and ThinkUPC have signed a collaboration agreement to implement the new Creu Roja Virtual Campus.<\/h2>
  • ThinkUPC, the technological consulting firm of the Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Catalunya (UPC), will implement a new eLearning platform at the Spanish Creu Roja, enabling online and blended learning for 130,000 students.<\/li>
  • Thanks to its status as a Premium Partner of Moodle, ThinkUPC will implement Moodle Workplace\u2014the most advanced solution of this globally leading LMS platform\u2014at the Spanish Creu Roja.<\/li><\/ul><\/div>

    ThinkUPC, the consulting and advanced digital services company of the Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Catalunya (UPC), has recently signed an agreement with the Spanish Creu Roja to implement a new eLearning platform. This collaboration represents a qualitative leap that reinforces the commitment to online and blended learning, modalities that this prominent humanitarian organization has been delivering since 2000. <\/p>

    Regarding this collaboration, Pablo Navajo, Director of the Education Knowledge Area at the Creu Roja.<\/span>, comment “We have always championed innovation\u2014technological, educational, and organizational\u2014and quality.     The new Virtual Campus of the Creu Roja.<\/h2>

    The solution selected to create the new Virtual Campus of the Creu Roja was Moodle Workplace, the most advanced version of this globally leading LMS platform, with over 240 million users of its solutions worldwide.<\/p>

    ThinkUPC, thanks to its status as a Premium Partner\u2014the highest level of partnership offered by Moodle\u2014is currently one of the few companies in Spain capable of providing Moodle Workplace as a cloud service, specifically from the public cloud Amazon Web Services (AWS), where ThinkUPC is an Advanced Tier Services Partner. The Moodle Workplace service offered by ThinkUPC on AWS, with its high flexibility and scalability in the event of significant increases in platform usage, is ideal for this project, given the Creu Roja forecasts regarding the number of students to be trained on the Virtual Campus: 115,000 students in 2023, with expectations to reach 130,000 students in 2024. <\/p>

    Moodle Workplace offers a range of advanced, exclusive functionalities that led the Spanish Creu Roja to choose this solution and partner with ThinkUPC for its implementation. These functionalities include multi-tenancy, an architecture that allows a single instance of Moodle Workplace to provide multiple departments or organizations with their own personalized learning environment (customizable look and feel, users, permissions, content, etc.); programs, which enable the creation of training pathways composed of various courses, linking them to specific processes (such as onboarding new employees) and automatically assigning them to individual users or user profiles; dynamic rules, which save administrative time by automating routine processes like enrollments, certification assignments, and messaging; and an organizational structure feature, which allows courses, programs, and other resources to be assigned to users based on their roles or positions within the organization.<\/p><\/div>
