MoodleMoot Spain 2026: A space for innovation and shared learning
The event will take place from March 18 to 20, 2026, at the University of Valladolid, an institution with more than eight centuries of history that is now looking towards the future of online learning. During these three days, the teaching community, technical teams, students and professionals in the sector will come together to reflect on how to improve the way we teach and learn in digital environments.
At ThinkUPC, as the UPC’s digital consultancy and services company, we have been collaborating with the Moodle ecosystem for years to offer advanced, tailor-made technological solutions. Our participation will allow attendees to discover how we can help them get the most out of this platform, putting at their service the knowledge and experience we have gained in leading projects for over 25 years.
Keynote: The Unite! Metacampus as a Benchmark for European Education
We are pleased to present one of the highlight sessions of the program. We will feature Jesus Angel Alcober Segura, Delegate of the Rector for the Unite! Digital Campus and professor at UPC, who will deliver the keynote on Thursday, March 19th: The Unite! Metacampus: An Initiative Towards the Future of Federated European Education.
This session will analyze the Metacampus—a true success story in using Moodle as a federated learning system, providing a seamless user experience for the universities within the alliance. The presentation will delve into the interoperability technological solutions adopted, such as the use of LTI (Learning Tools Interoperability) and the implementation of Open Badges. The goal is to demonstrate how technology acts as a catalyst to create an integrated European campus, sharing the expertise gained from this project in which ThinkUPC actively collaborates.
